We love our community
We love our community
We’re keen on volunteering but also proactively try to bring businesses together and celebrate and boost our local community and economy – here’s an example of how we do that.
Thame.net community website
The site now includes a wider range of content including magazine-style content.
The aim of the site is to still publish news from the local community but also to connect people, businesses and the community by encouraging creation of other types of content – for example, did you know that straw and reed shortages continue to impact the traditional craft of thatching? And we have a lot of thatched properties in the local area!
Laura coaches local businesses in marketing and how to create evergreen digital content that helps them stand out and grow their business, then publishes the content on Thame.net to share with the local community. Laura also creates a lot of original content that’s either interesting or useful, such as Dog Friendly Places in Thame.
Content categories include business, community, creative, environment, food and drink, health and wellbeing, home and garden, news and shopping. There is also a jobs board, business directory and information pages such as things to do in Thame and the history of Thame.
